In an interview broadcast on CNBC on April 15, Ren Zhengfei, Huawei's founder and chief executive, said Huawei would consider selling its 5G chip to other smartphone makers, including Apple. "in terms of chips, we are open to Apple." Ren Zhengfei said.
Earlier, on April 11, Huawei's consumer business CEO Yu Chengdong said in an interview after the Huawei P30 series conference that Huawei's 5G chip sales will remain open to Apple.
There are two main reasons why Apple faces "coreless availability" in the short term. First, the patent war between Apple and Qualcomm continues. Second, Intel and Samsung's 5G chips are not yet "mature."
As to whether the future will really choose to cooperate with Huawei, let us look forward to it together.
