Tencent video enters Taiwan: paid members are 42 yuan per month


[TechWeb] On May 13th, according to local media reports in Taiwan, Tencent recently launched WeTV (Tencent Video) service in Taiwan through its Hong Kong investment company Image Future Investment (HK) Limited.

WeTV has also launched membership services in Taiwan. At present, the monthly membership price is NT $190 (about 42 yuan), and the preferential price during the probationary period is NT $90 (about 20 yuan). The package is priced at NT $560 (124 yuan) and NT $250 (55 yuan).

So far, the WeTV has been on sale at Apple's App Store and Google Play in Taiwan, with WeTV downloaded more than 500000 times on Google Play.

According to Taiwan media reports, iQiyi has set up the "Iqiyi Taiwan Station" in Taiwan. In the past three years, the Taiwanese business has been distributed and promoted through the Taiwan agent Ouyi. It is understood that Iqiyi Taiwan Station has serials, movies, variety shows and animation channels, and many TV series are broadcast simultaneously with the mainland.
